App allows users to save time on the job

Selco launches smartphone app to help workers start work quicker

As part of its digital offering, Selco Builders Warehouse has launched its Project Tool app, which is free to download and will save users time.

It allows tradesmen to manage multiple work projects at the same time through their smartphones.

The app features Selco’s complete range of stocked products, with tradesmen given the option to draw up lists of materials they will need for jobs, request a price from in-branch staff and create and send a quote to their customers.

Carine Jessamine, Selco’s marketing director, said: “This is a fantastic development for all tradespeople and we are delighted to be playing a significant role in making the working lives of our customers easier.

“In the past, tradespeople may have had difficulties keeping track of and pricing up all their jobs, but this app takes away any confusion and keeps everything in order and in one place.

“No longer will tradespeople have the logistical headache of manually preparing quotes and sending them to customers – the app ensures this can be done with the click of a few buttons.

“If a quote then gets accepted, the order can be sent straight to the Selco branch for it to be prepared.

“The initial signs are the app is going to be very popular amongst tradespeople.”
