New RIBA approved CPD

Avanti, an SAS International Group company, has developed a new RIBA approved CPD on relocatable partitioning systems. It has been designed to inform specifiers on performance-led partitioning systems while meeting aesthetic demands. This CPD will guide specifiers through the products, technical specifications, design considerations and regulations; it details the design and project demands when specifying partitioning for the vast range of environments these products can be used in.

Glass solutions for all

Avanti, an SAS International group company, is not only a manufacturer and distributor of partitioning systems, but can also design and install a range of architectural glass solutions. Architectural glass solutions are becoming increasingly popular says Avanti, particularly in office developments. Architectural glass solutions are often combined with lighting systems, in order to maximise light levels. The ability to meet fire and security regulations is also a key influence in the specification decision. "Many specifiers worry that because the acoustic and fire performance specification is so important, they will have to compromise on design and aesthetics: this is not the case," says Malcolm Stamper of Avanti.

One Canada Square's interiors have a case of the blues

'Visually stunning' partitioning systems from avanti have been installed in the Abbey Business Centre, One Canada Square, in London's Canary Wharf. Solare Single Glazed partitioning systems were installed in the modern reception area and main corridors with a stylish blue backlit manifestation. The dramatic blue design has created feature walls for a calming contemporary environment. For the meeting rooms Solare Double Glazed partitioning systems were specified for their fire and acoustic ability. To provide spatial flexibility within the meeting rooms glass openable walls were chosen. Suspended from the ceiling, the glass openable wall modules are mounted on a track, with compression seals to lock each module into place, ensuring maximum acoustic performance. Avanti's Legno natural hardwood partitioning system was also specified to provide acoustically separated areas.
