Rainscreen cladding panels and anti-slip flooring from steni uk has been used by GML Construction on its largest project to date.
1000 m2 of Steni's Stoneflex Clas 0 fire rated glass fibre reinforced polyester resin cladding panels, have been employed on a temporary building at the University of Sussex. The main wall and mid-band panels were supplied in 'French Rouget' and the fascias were Java Grey to blend in with neighbouring structures.
Steni's lightweight Stoneflex panels were fixed to all external elevations, fascia details, and mid-band cover panels on the building. Steni also installed its anti-slip flooring, a composite of glass fibre polyester resin and stone, on exit ramps.

Rainscreen cladding panels from Steni UK were specified to complement the lightweight construction of a new sixth form block at Arden School and Language college in Solihull.
More than 350 m2 of Steni's Stoneflex Class 0 fire rated glass fibre reinforced polyester resin cladding panels were selected for the project. The panels are built up to provide a surface finish of natural stone. The Arden school had the panels finished in a Bermuda White colour.
The maintenance-free panels were installed over a 12 week period, and were fixed to the two-storey lightweight steel frame building around brise soleil using a steel omega and zed system.
Project architect Marcus Russell commented: "The existing building is made up of a range of 1950s buildings with exposed aggregate panels and I wanted something that tied in with that.
"I used a light coloured aggregate because it follows the form of the building's lightweight walling system."
Five colours of Steni panels are over-cladding two tower blocks which have become part of North Lanarkshire Council's stock of refurbished multi-storey properties.
The Steni Nature sheets consist of a fibreglass reinforced polymer composite panel with a surface of crushed natural stone. The panels were specified due to their robustness, proven performance, weather resistance and low maintenance said the council's project architect, Ian Gillespie.
5000 m² of Steni panels are being installed on the two towers in Motherwell, incorporating five Nature colours; Sienna, Ivory, Sea Green Salmon Pink and Brick Red. Steni's lightweight Nature panels are available in a further 19 colours and five grades of stone sourced from various areas across Europe.
Fifteen years after it was first installed, a ramp at Birmingham City University is fit to use thanks to slip resistant flooring from steni UK.
A composite glass fibre polyester resin and stone, the floor covering's fine aggregate surface is bonded with clear resin to give a long-lasting anti-slip surface for ramps, step covers, walkways, pontoons, bridges and deckings.
