Partitioning in Style

A new, multi-purpose parish hall in Loughborough, offers the community exceptionally flexible space thanks to the inclusion of three separate moveable walls, installed by partitioning experts Style.

Working with Franklin Ellis architects and contractor, Stepnell, Style was specified to install three moveable walls.

In the main hall, a 6m high, fully automatic Dorma Variflex moveable wall separates the stage from the rest of the hall when it is not required.

A toughened glass Dorma Varitrans moveable wall allows the café to be either closed off or made part of the light and spacious foyer, whilst upstairs, another Variflex partition enables Mountsorrel staff to offer a large meeting and training room or hire out two smaller individual rooms.

“This is a great example of the breadth of our product range, catering for all room types and budgets, from fully automatic systems, semi-automatic and manual ones too,” said Mike Fine, Style’s director for the Midlands.

“During the design stages the 6m wall was going to be manual, however we had concerns that the panels would be very tall to be handled manually and drew to the client’s attention the possibility of making it fully automatic, which they agreed with.”
