Kawneer launches video show reel

A video showcase about the architectural aluminium industry and its products and trends has been launched by UK manufacturer Kawneer.
Seven films currently feature on the Kawneer UK TV page of the company’s website news section but these will be supplemented constantly in line with the current marketing and social media trend for moving images.
The seven films that helped launch the resource are “Understanding BES 6001 and responsible sourcing” (4:47) which features an interview with Dr Shamir Ghumra, director of the Centre for Sustainable Products at the BRE.
Kawneer, part of the Arconic group, is the first supplier of architectural aluminium products in the world to achieve BES 6001, the framework standard for the responsible sourcing of construction products.
Another shows Kawneer UK’s end to end manufacturing process (4:48) which ensures that manufacturing efficiency is optimised and environmental impact is minimised while another gives step-by-step guidance on downloading and incorporating Kawneer BIM models into a project (9:52).
Another explains how good design improves medical outcomes, using Alder Hey Hospital as a case study for next-generation healthcare. This video (4:56) includes interviews with senior clinicians and gives architect BDP’s overview of the design of the hospital.
Staying with healthcare, a video on specifying windows for mental healthcare buildings (5:20) outlines the role of Kawneer’s AA3110HW horizontal window in secure recovery units, explaining how it satisfies both environmental and security concerns in this and other critical NHS applications.
Other videos explain how Kawneer’s AA3720 aluminium bifold door system was developed for projects that demand the highest levels of thermal and weathering performance at a competitive price (2:53) and how Kawneer’s pedigree offers endless design possibilities and innovative solutions to help give life to architect’s inspirations (3:15).
