Roofing company breathes easy
R. G. Leverett, a family-run roofing business, has switched to using BreatherQuilt from the range of YBS, reportedly finding it more cost-effective to install while offering superior performance compared to rival products on the market. The first project where R. G. Leverett trialled YBS BreatherQuilt was a 1950s bungalow in Norwich. The original roof covering of concrete tiles was at the end of its life, leaking in several places and offering poor thermal performance.
Having fully scaffolded the single storey property and carried out risk assessments, including checking for the presence of asbestos, the firm’s operatives stripped off the tiles, across the main pitch and wing. BreatherQuilt was then used.
Business owner, Rob Leverett, said: “We carry out a lot of work like this for the owners of older properties and decided to try YBS BreatherQuilt because not only is it cheaper than the other products we were using, but it offers a better insulation value as well.”
Rob continued: “It is straightforward to install and we had absolutely no problems with it. I am sure we will be purchasing BreatherQuilt for more projects in the future.”
