Viega launches new application technology guide

Viega has launched its latest application technology installation handbook entitled ‘Volume II: Plastic piping systems, pre-wall and drainage technology’, this resource is aimed at providing accessible information for all installers throughout the industry.
The guide is split into three reference sections covering each of the main topics.
The plastic piping section reportedly covers the fundamentals on potable water quality as well as planning and installation factors such as routing and installation advice. There is also a chapter on Viega’s Smartpress multilayer piping system which includes specific press connection assembly guidance.
In the pre-wall technology section, installers will find technical information for bathroom planning including installation methods and sanitaryware placement. The guide also features details of Viega’s Eco Plus range of frames, cisterns, flushing technology and actuation systems.
Lastly, drainage technology explains how to select and install the correct drainage solution for the application in question including waterproofing, sound insulation and drainage capacity considerations. Also included is the technical information on Viega’s Multiplex Trio bath filler and Advantix shower channel ranges.
The handbook incorporates checklists, diagrams, regulations and standards information as well as troubleshooting guides, and is reportedly set out in a way that is straightforward and easy to follow.
Volume II follows on from Volume I: Application guide on metal piping systems, which was released in 2017 and is also available for installers’ use.
