HBF appoints Directors from Taylor Wimpey and Storey Homes to its board
Taylor Wimpey CEO in waiting Jennie Daly and Storey Homes MD Katy Jordan will be appointed to the HBF Board members in the coming months. They will add considerable industry experience and knowledge to the existing board at a key time for the industry as it faces into some high-profile and defining challenges.
Jennie joined Taylor Wimpey from fellow housebuilder Redrow in 2014 as UK Planning Director and is now the Group Operations Director. She was appointed as a Director in April 2018, and it was announced in February that she would take over as CEO from Pete Redfern in April 2022. She has a wealth of experience in the housebuilding industry and in her current role, oversees the land, planning, design & technical, production and supply chain functions, in addition to managing the Taylor Wimpey Logistics business. Jennie is also currently a Non-executive Director of the Peabody Trust.
Katy Jordan has over 25 years’ experience in residential development, both with PLCs and privately-owned developers. Katy is Managing Director of Storey Homes and has previously worked as a quantity surveyor and served as a board director at Countryside Properties.
Both also represent the house building industry on the New Homes Quality Board, the independent body tasked with driving up quality and service levels for new build buyers.
HBF Executive Chairman Stewart Baseley said: “I am delighted to welcome Jennie and Katy to the HBF board. Both bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience that will enhance the Board further at a time when the industry is facing a number of complex issues. I look forward to working with them to find solutions to the challenges facing home builders so that the industry is in a position to deliver even more quality new homes”.
Jennie Daly said: “I am delighted to be appointed to the HBF Board, particularly at such an important time for the industry. I look forward to working with the Board and its members in the months and years ahead.”
Katy Jordan comments: “I am thrilled to have been welcomed to the HBF board and look forward to working alongside the other members to develop and advance our industry. I have admired the work that has been undertaken over the years, and I am eager to bring my own experiences and knowledge to the board to continue this success”.
Katy will take up her board membership at the HBF AGM on April 27th and Jennie will join from July 1st.
