Kaldewei Nexsys wins three awards for excellent design
The year has got off to an amazing start says Kaldewei: the expert for floor-level showers has scooped three design awards for its first enamelled shower surface with waste channel. Following two Iconic Awards last year, Kaldewei Nexsys has now received the Good Design Award 2019, the iF Design Award 2019 and the German Design Award 2019.
Showcased recently at ISH, Kaldewei launched a new range of sizes and colour options for its existing Nexsys shower surface, which combined with new design covers now offers ‘thousands’ of different design options.
This modern shower surface system is available in 17 colours, 20 different sizes and with three finishes. The design highlight of Nexsys – the design cover – allows architects and builders five different colours to choose from, including the award-winning version in polished gold. “We are delighted to have won these awards,” says Arndt Papenfuß, Kaldewei’s director of marketing. “With these new awards, Nexsys now has gold, both literally and figuratively, and truly lives up to its claim of ‘design at its best’.”
Kaldewei’s Nexsys is said to look particularly smart when combined with a gold cover and in an elegant dark shade like lava black matte or woodberry brown matte from Kaldewei‘s Coordinated Colours Collection.
Versatile – as winners should be
Kaldewei Nexsys combines the best of both worlds – all the advantages of an enamelled, jointless shower surface and the modern design of a channel shower. The shower surface colour, made of Kaldewei steel enamel, can be adapted to suit any given floor thanks to a large selection of bathroom colours and exclusive matte shades. Nexsys, in its popular XXL sizes, integrates seamlessly into the grid of high-end floor tiles, allowing the shower to merge visually with the tiles and vice versa, so that the function is not immediately apparent at first glance.
