Affordable energy efficiency

DRU Global gas fires combine ingenious designs and high energy efficiency at affordable  prices.

There are 17 models in total, including balanced and conventional flue, 2 and 3-sided, see-through tunnel and freestanding fires.

The most popular model in the range is the Global 55XT. At only 55 cms wide and 54 cms high, it fits neatly into a Class1 chimney, has an eye-catching log fire display and can be combined with a selection of frames or fire surrounds.

With the addition of the unique DRU cavity wall kit, the fire can be installed directly into an outside facing brick wall or pre-cast flue, with no need for a false chimneybreast and minimal building work. At only 255 mm deep, it is the slimmest and most flexible gas fire in the DRU Global range, with an energy efficiency rating of 84%.

The compact balanced flue is inserted at right angles through the wall, ending in just an unobtrusive terminal on the outside.

The Global 55XT utilises a blend of extra insulation around the cavity wall kit and discreet ventilation points under the mantle of the fire surround to channel warm air into the living room. At the same time, this prevents any build-up of excess heat in the brickwork above the fire.

Also recently launched by DRU is the new Global 70XT CF conventional flue gas fire, which is designed with the UK chimney in mind.

With an imposing fire, with a viewing window 70 cms wide x 60 cms high, framing a realistic log fire display, the Global 70XT has a built-in depth of only 40 cms, making it easy to install with minimal building work.

There is a choice of four enviable interior finishes; smooth black, classic stone, slate or mirrored Ceraglass for extra visual depth.

Both the Global 55XT and 70XT have electronic remote control and are available in mains gas or LPG versions.
