Avolon Aerospace HQ flying high with Ireland’s first Hunter Douglas Architectural’s HeartFelt ceiling

Aircraft leasing company Avolon Aerospace’s new global headquarters in Dublin is the first building in Ireland to feature Hunter Douglas Architectural’s award-winning HeartFelt ceiling.
The 75,000 sq ft state-of-the-art HQ at Number One Ballsbridge, Shelbourne Road, is designed to achieve LEED Gold accreditation for energy efficiency and environment design.
With environmental considerations in mind, fit out designers MOLA Architecture specified Hunter Douglas Architectural’s award-winning HeartFelt ceiling panels for the majority of the open-plan office areas and boardroom.
Senior architect Dara Murphy specified 1300m2 of the modular felt panels in mid-grey, after being impressed with the look and feel of the product. The 40 x 55mm panels were installed with a 60mm gap, enabling the services to be easily integrated.
MOLA Architecture was so impressed with the quality of HeartFelt that it has already been specified it on a further two projects and Dara says he is confident it will be used in further fit out schemes.
