BIM webinar targets designers for building sector

Building Products Magazine has partnered with Eureka! and Autodesk to produce a webinar on Building Information Modelling (BIM) for manufacturing.

Taking place on Wednesday, June 13, the webinar will consist of a 40-minute presentation by Autodesk with a Q&A session afterwards hosted by MA Business editorial director, Paul Fanning.

The webinar content is specifically geared towards those supplying building products whose customers require BIM-compliant designs.

BIM is a collaborative way of working, underpinned by the digital technologies which unlock more efficient methods of designing, creating and maintaining our assets. BIM embeds key product and asset data and a 3D computer model that can be used for effective management of information throughout a project lifecycle – from earliest concept through to operation. It has been described as game-changing ICT and cultural process for the construction sector.

Do you design, manufacture or fabricate building products or equipment in the commercial, residential or public sector? Do your customers expect you to supply them with BIM-compliant product data? Are you currently having to manage or pay third parties to create and manage, parallel libraries of your products in a totally different design tool? If so, this event will be of relevance to you.
