Heathrow Logistics Park fully let as BlackRock and Graftongate land double deal

Global investment manager BlackRock and property developer Graftongate have announced two lettings deals that have taken its Heathrow Logistics Park scheme to full occupancy.

Royal Mail has agreed a five-year lease of Unit 3, a 91,349 sq ft warehouse at the premier distribution location on Bedfont Road, near Heathrow Cargo Terminal.

The lease was completed within weeks of Royal Mail viewing the new building, which is expected to be operational before Christmas 2020.

Meanwhile, international freight forwarding and logistics provider JAS Forwarding has taken a 15-year lease on Unit 1, a 109,000 sq ft industrial/warehouse. The new facility will double the company’s capacity at London Heathrow and is located just a short distance from its existing UK headquarters.

Heathrow Logistics Park is a joint venture development between BlackRock and Graftongate. This scheme was developed speculatively and comprises four high specification industrial/warehouse units with Grade A integral office space. It is home to occupiers Airbase GSE and James Cargo Services.

Colin Beasley, Director at Graftongate, said: “We’re very pleased to have let all four units at Heathrow Logistics Park to occupiers of this calibre, despite the uncertainty of a global pandemic. This scheme offers high specification industrial and logistics facilities with good sized yards, which has attracted occupier interest. With Heathrow Logistics Park fully let, we’re keen to find new opportunities for development.”

Heathrow Logistics Park is located just 2.5 miles from Heathrow Airport Cargo Terminal, with fast access to the motorway network, including M25, M4 and M3. The site offers underground and overground rail links via nearby Feltham Rail Station and Heathrow Terminal 4 and Hatton Cross Underground Stations.

BlackRock was represented by the scheme’s retained agents, Altus Group, DTRE and JLL. Arnold Cronin represented JAS Forwarding throughout the process.
