Mitsubishi Electric creates social communities

With the government forecasting that heat pumps will overtake gas heating over the next decade and to coincide with the launch of Mitsubishi’s Ultra Quiet Ecodan air source heat pump, two social communities, on Facebook and Instagram have been set up to provide consumers and heating installers with regular updates and tips on the company’s latest efficient, renewable heating systems.

The Facebook page can be found here. The Instagram page can be found here.

The Facebook page offers a selection of videos and images that provide information on the Ultra Quiet Ecodan, detailing its uses, specifications and unique characteristics that set it apart from alternative heating solutions. Although its only just gone live it has already amassed over 2,000 followers of the page to date, the community is expected to grow as more content is shared for homeowners looking for the most effective alternative to gas and oil.

On the Instagram page, followers will be treated to a range of graphics that highlight the benefits of choosing to install the Ultra Quiet Ecodan. A selection of stats and emotive images have been shared so far to demonstrate why it thinks the heat pump should be the number one choice for renewable heating.

The Ultra Quiet Ecodan air source heat pumps are said to be some of the quietest available in the UK. Designed specifically for residential applications, these renewable heating systems offer flexibility on where units can be installed, whilst meeting Permitted Development. Noise becomes a huge factor in residential environments, and Permitted Development requires sound levels to remain below certain thresholds to ensure neighbours aren’t disturbed. sound levels are reportedly three-times quieter than previous models at just 58 dB (A) and so the Ultra Quiet Ecodan is said to virtually eliminate planning restrictions.

“The government anticipates over one million air source heat pump sales a year by 2030 and recognises their importance in the UK for low carbon heating in the future. One of the key areas that will affect adoption is noise, and we see the Ultra Quiet Ecodan as a solution to overcome any issues with sound restrictions,” said Max Halliwell, product manager for the company’s renewable heating systems.

“People are still learning about the opportunities Ecodan offers homebuilders and homeowners alike, for low-carbon, highly efficient heating. Our Facebook and Instagram pages will provide highly relevant, timely insight to our active and growing community of consumers and installers,” concluded Halliwell.
