New Styccobond F73 PLUS – for the most demanding environments

Styccobond F73 PLUS, the latest adhesive innovation to join the F. Ball range is one part, heavy duty adhesive for the most demanding internal and external applications.

The latest advancements in adhesives technology have enabled F. Ball to create a one-part, moisture-curing alternative to polyurethane and epoxy adhesives.

Styccobond F73 PLUS has been developed to provide the high bond strength required to hold a wide range of textile and resilient floor coverings, including rubber, vinyl, linoleum and synthetic grass, firmly in place in areas that will be subject to heavy loads and high foot traffic, as well as surface water, such as entranceways. It offers high initial grab and, once cured, it is resistant to water, oil and grease.

The new adhesive is also fibre-reinforced to limit lateral movement of floorcoverings when placed into the adhesive, an advantage when installing vinyl tiles or planks over large areas.

As well as being a one-part adhesive, meaning no mixing and less waste compared to traditional options, Styccobond F73 PLUS is easier to apply and faster curing, requiring as little as 90 minutes to secure floorcoverings. The fast setting properties allow welding of sheet floorcoverings to take place in as little as 2 hours.

The new adhesive can be trowel-applied to a wide variety of sound, smooth subfloors, including concrete and sand/cement screeds, as well as Stopgap levelling compounds.

Commenting on the launch of the company’s new adhesive, F. Ball Sales Director Darren Kenyon said: “We are delighted to offer contractors a better choice of adhesive for heavy duty flooring installations that may also be required to be resistant to weather and extreme environments. Styccobond F73 PLUS also benefits from additional features that make it more versatile and ideally suited to installing increasingly popular resilient floorcovering types, such as luxury vinyl tiles.”

Styccobond F73 PLUS is available now through F. Ball wholesalers.
