Promoted from within

BDG architecture + design has announced that Toby Neilson has been promoted to the position of director of architecture with immediate effect.

Toby joined BDG in 2013 and led the design team through key design and delivery stages of the award winning 20,500m2 refurbishment of the Sea Containers building on London’s South Bank, for the relocation of Ogilvy & Mather and MEC. Prior to this, Toby has worked on a variety of residential, commercial, cultural and mixed-use projects throughout the UK, Europe, Hong Kong and China. He started his career at Peter Barber Architects where he worked on a number of award winning urban design and social housing projects before branching out as a freelance consultant on projects as diverse as urban planning in Shenzhen, private Houses in Hampstead, a school in Barcelona and a Theatre in Hong Kong.
