Rehau heads to Glasgow with Specifi
Rehau is heading to Glasgow in June to showcase two new products at the second Specifi event. It is the first time Rehau has exhibited at the UK’s only built environment roadshow and is attending five events nationwide in total.
Rehau will be exhibiting in the Assembly Rooms, the Rautitan plumbing system, a 10-bar pipework solution designed for drinking water and heating systems, which launched at the end of 2017 in the UK.
The flexible PE-Xa Rautitan pipework system is said to deliver on durability, corrosion-resistance and ease of installation. It is fully WRAS certified as hygienic for drinking water and its smooth surface is said to prevent deposits forming, while cavity-free impermeable joints eliminate the risk of microbial contamination.
Rautitan is also said to be suitable for radiator connections and can be used for installations through the floor, skirting board or wall.
Also on the stand will be Rehau’s two pre-insulated pipe ranges – Rauvitherm and Rauthermex. Rauvitherm is a PE-Xa pipe is reportedly suitable for use in district heating, biomass, biogas and heat pump applications. It is currently the only PE-Xa district heating pipe manufactured in the UK.
Rauthermex is reportedly suited to a variety of low carbon heat installations and features high performance PU foam, which is said to make it ideal for large district heating installations over long distances where minimising heat losses are critical.
REHAU will also be featuring its new sound attenuated drainage solution Raupiano, which will be launched to the market later this year. The Raupiano product offers a patented structure, sound damping, is heat and impact-resistant, chemical resistant and pressure resistant to 2-bar.
Drew Clough, product manager at Rehau, said: “Our first stop of these fantastic roadshow events was in Edinburgh and we were very happy with the level of interaction and interest generated by our visitors. Rehau will be at Specifi in Glasgow to discuss the Rautitan plumbing solution that we launched last year in the UK, and also our brand new Raupiano product.
“It has been great so far and we are really looking forward to upcoming events over the next few weeks. Our next stops are Manchester, Newcastle and London so if have been unable to visit us at the first two, we hope to see you at these locations.”
