Weston Homes appoint new Technical Director after unveiling HQ building

Weston Homes have appointed Graeme Mitchell as Technical Director for Weston Homes Plc. In his new role as Technical Director across the Weston Homes residential portfolio, Graeme will oversee the design, development and delivery for dozens of developments and thousands of residential units.

Graeme has over 19 years of experience in the construction industry and four years of experience working at Weston Homes as Southern Regional Technical Director. His promotion to Weston Homes Technical Director follows the unveiling of their brand-new state-of-the-art HQ building, the Weston Innovation Centre. Employees will be moving into the new 49,000 sq. ft. £40 million headquarters in October 2020 and will benefit from a five-star offering including a health club, coffee bar and restaurant.

Graeme began his career as an architect in Edinburgh where he was involved in the design and build of educational, custodial, residential and commercial projects including seven new primary schools. After over 10 years working as an architect, Graeme moved to Ardmore Group where he worked as a Design Manager, responsible for the design and development of a £45M high spec St George development. Following this success, Graeme then moved to St George where he worked as Senior Technical Manager. Here he was responsible for the development and delivery of a £450M residential development consisting of 520 apartments across seven buildings.
Graeme then moved to Weston Homes where, for the past four years, he worked as Southern Regional Technical Director. In this role, Graeme was responsible for the design and delivery of over 1800 residential units spread across nine developments in London and the South East. Whilst working as Southern Regional Technical Director, Graeme doubled the size of the Regional Technical Team.
